Weddings have always been a family affair around here.
At XOXO Wedding Co., weddings aren't just what we do—they're something we've shared together for years.
Led by mother-daughter duo Angela and Ayla, XOXO brings together more than two decades of wedding and event experience, a love for bringing people together, and the kind of attention to detail that comes from genuinely caring about the people behind the celebration.
We believe your wedding day should feel just as beautiful as it looks—joyful, personal, and completely you. We'll handle the timelines, vendors, logistics and all those little behind-the-scenes details so you and the people you love can simply be present.
And the name XOXO? There's a very special story behind that, too.
It's part of our family story.
Why XOXO?
It started with Big Nannie.
Long before XOXO Wedding Co. ever existed, there was a little girl spending as much time as she could at her great-grandmother's house next door in Highland Springs.
Angela's “Big Nannie” was truly one of a kind. She had the biggest, sweetest heart and loved her family fiercely. Angela's childhood memories with her are some of her most treasured—standing beside her in the kitchen learning to cook, learning to crochet and embroider, making mud pies in Big Nannie's aprons, and sneaking in those first CBS soap operas together.
Big Nannie was a woman of deep faith, devoted to her family, and happily married to the love of her life for more than 50 years before his passing.
And whenever she wrote a card, she ended it the same way:
“I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around your neck. XOXO”
Those four little letters stayed with Angela.
Sadly, Big Nannie passed away just a few months before Ayla was born, but a piece of her has continued through every generation. Ayla was given Elizabeth as her middle name in her honor—and years later, when Collin asked Ayla to marry him, he did so with Big Nannie's diamond, which is now part of Ayla's engagement ring.
So when it came time to give this company a name, XOXO just felt like home.
Today, XOXO Wedding Co. is a mother-daughter owned company built around many of the same things Big Nannie represented: love, family, faith, tradition, and taking care of the people around you.
And now, we get to be there as other families begin traditions of their own.
